My love story with cars began with the bottle green Ambassador my uncle owned. It wasn’t just a car; it was a fortress of toughness and comfort, capable of carrying all my cousins on long, memorable trips. Its spacious interiors and timeless design made it my first automotive crush.

Running parallel was the Fiat, sleek and elegant in its cream-white exterior with husky-brown seat covers. Both cars represented different kinds of charm, yet they stood out as icons of their era.

The Maruti Era

Our family’s automotive journey took a significant turn with Maruti Suzuki. Starting with the iconic Maruti 800, we later moved on to the Zen, a car renowned for its speed in the small car segment. I had always wanted one, and when my father brought it home, it felt like a dream come true.

Luxury Aspirations

As I grew older, I started admiring the luxury of Mercedes-Benz and the engineering prowess of Volkswagen. The latter left a lasting impression, and eventually, I purchased a base model Volkswagen—a symbol of my hard work and a cherished milestone.

I’ve always been drawn to rugged vehicles like the Tata Safari and Gypsy. My most memorable ride in a Gypsy took me to watch Dil To Pagal Hai during my college days. Was it the thrill of the ride or the excitement of the movie? I’ll never know, but it’s a memory I hold close.

Two-Wheelers: My Solo Companion

While four-wheelers have shaped much of my journey, my true companion has been my trusty Vespa. Over the last 12 years, it has been my go-to for “me time,” offering freedom and solace. If my physical capability allowed, I’d love to ride the iconic Royal Enfield Bullet, a dream that remains close to my heart.
