Are there any activities or hobbies you’ve outgrown or lost interest in over time?
Growing Up with Sports
Sports were my breath. In school, the best periods were game periods—throwball, cricket, kho-kho, sprint running, and long jump. It wasn’t just about winning; it was about movement, energy, and the thrill of the game. I played almost anything that involved running, jumping, or competing.
A Shift I Didn’t See Coming
Somewhere along the way, that passion took a backseat. Life changed, responsibilities grew, and before I knew it, my time on the field was replaced by mobile games—a way to relax, reset, and unwind.
At first, I didn’t think much of it. But looking back, I wonder:
• Did I move away from sports because of life’s demands, or did my interests evolve naturally?
• Does mobile gaming give me the same thrill that playing sports once did?
From Physical Play to Digital Strategy
While I may not be on the field anymore, I still enjoy strategy, competition, and quick decision-making—only now, it’s in a different form. Whether it’s a fast-paced round of Call of Duty, a puzzle, or Sudoku, I’ve realized my mind still craves action.
But there’s a difference:
• Sports built endurance, agility, and teamwork.
• Mobile games sharpen reflexes, focus, and decision-making.
Both are engaging. But are they really the same?
Will I Ever Go Back?
There are times I miss the rush of playing sports—the sprint, the team huddles, the way competition pushed me beyond my limits.
Maybe one day, I’ll step back on the field. Maybe not. But one thing I know for sure:
The love for strategy, competition, and quick thinking never left me. It just found a new place.
Have you ever let go of something you once loved, only to find it reappearing in a different form?
