Are you patriotic? What does being patriotic mean to you?
Patriotism is often seen as love for one’s country, but for me, it is more than just admiration for its history or symbols. True patriotism is about progress—actively contributing to the future of the nation rather than just taking pride in its past.
I believe patriotism lies in decision-making that shapes the country’s future. It is about how youth and parents invest in education and career choices today, knowing that the real impact of these decisions will unfold decades later. A child learning today will have their skills tested when they are 30 or older—so are we equipping them for the world they will inherit?
The world is shifting—nations are competing in AI, space, and technological dominance. Should India merely follow, or should we embrace change and prepare to lead? Patriotism, to me, is not just about national pride but about ensuring our country is ready for the challenges ahead.
It is about living in the present, yes—but also thinking, planning, and acting for the future. The choices we make today—whether in education, policy, or industry—will define our standing in the global landscape.
