Which book have you read more than any other?
My Tipping Point
I’ve read The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell more than any other book. Over the years, I’ve forgotten many of the examples and stories, but one idea has stayed with me.
For me, a tipping point is the moment a decision is made.
It isn’t always a dramatic event. Most of the time, it’s a quiet moment—a conversation, a realization, a feeling that says, “Enough. It’s time.”
Everything before that moment is preparation. We gather experiences, doubts, lessons, and courage. Then something small happens, and suddenly we know. The decision has been made.
Looking back, many of the important changes in my life began that way. Not because the event itself was extraordinary, but because I was finally ready to choose a different path.
That’s what The Tipping Point came to mean for me. Not just the moment when ideas spread, but the moment within ourselves when we quietly decide.
Sometimes, the smallest decision becomes the beginning of an entirely new chapter.
Thank you, Malcolm Gladwell, for giving me a phrase that has stayed with me for years, even as its meaning has evolved with my own life.
